Our Pastor

Jackson Michael Doggette Jr. is the consummate professional and a solutions expert. His professional leadership began in 1979 as a pastor and branched into business leadership in the healthcare and legal industries along his professional journey.

Attorney Doggette pursues his mission in life to influence everyone to fully become all God created them to be. He is an ordained Seventh-day Adventist minister, a professional musician, and a practicing attorney, who is an active member of five state bar associations (PA, MD, DC, VA, FL), a federal court bar, and the U.S. Supreme Court Bar.

His academic preparation includes a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from Oakwood University, a Master of Arts in Religion with an emphasis in Theology, Ethics, and Philosophy, from Andrews University, and a Juris Doctor degree from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He also holds several certifications including as a Certified Nonprofit Executive, Certified Development Executive, Certified Nonprofit Consultant, National Diversity Council Certified Diversity Professional, Certified Mediator, a Life Coach, and several other certifications.

His community service includes serving on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Nonprofit Organizations & Executives and working with several community-based organizations for social change. One of his passions is helping churches become healthy and grow. He wrote the book, Retaining the Harvest: How to Attract, Engage, and Keep the People Who Join Your Ministry, as an outgrowth of his experiences and invests time mentoring and coaching pastors.

As the first African-American to ever serve as in-house General Counsel for a regional conference, Attorney Doggette serves the Allegheny East Conference Corporation of Seventh-day Adventists, which covers Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, the District of Columbia, Virginia, and part of West Virginia, as General Counsel, Public Affairs & Religious Liberty Director, and Stewardship Director.

In his limited personal time, Attorney Doggette enjoys riding his road bike or his Harley- Davidson motorcycle and reading. His greatest pleasure is simply being with and nurturing his wife. Attorney Doggette is very happily married to Mrs. Celia Doggette and they share three wonderful adult children, David, Jacquelyn, and Jackson III, and two grandchildren, Vivian and Charles.
